Following on from our successful trips to Wales last year and the Lakes last month, I thought it might be a good idea to try to organise another one.
I'm thinking about a weekend to the Yorkshire Dales on the 20th-21st March. There are a couple of low-meduim water options: the Wharfe & the Ribble, with others if there's been more rain.

Both of the above are good rivers, of a standard fairly similar to the Leven or the Dart Loop if you portage the hardest rapid on each (which are IV+ to V+ anyway, depending on levels.)
If there is a drought between now and the trip (you'll have paid anyway) so the best option will be going mountain biking instead, unless you fancy flatwater paddling, or a long drive each day to the Lake District.
Time is short, so I'll need definite responses ASAP. When I know numbers I'll book some accommodation (probably hostel or bunkhouse - budget on about £20 pppn.) |
